Heaven Help Us is actually
a spiritual, self help book by the author, Van McClendon's journey through
spiritual enlightenment. This is his first book, one of many more to
come. The author shares some of his most inner feelings and turmoil he had
to deal with while on his journey.
Through this journey
McClendon cleansed his mind, body and soul and found his own unique
way to embrace God. The author struggled through years of trials and
tribulations and left behind everything and everyone he knew and loved.
God had spoken to him, he
listened, he learned, he became whole. The author introduces choices and
his brush with the Angel of death. He shows the reader how to 'let go' and
move on. McClendon began his spiritual journey early in the 1980's. He
became a husband, a father, a spiritual director and a man at peace with
himself and with God.
There are very
powerful messages within each and every page of this book.
I found this book very easy
to read and you will be able to see yourself in some of the things the
author speaks about. For the author's honesty, deep feeling and his
gift, I have rated this
